heading home

I started the drive back towards my parents place today. But I couldn't really drive across South Dakota and not stop at the corn palace, I mean, it changes every year.... and apparently this is when. If you look carefully at the picture you will see Mitchell SD is stuck in a time warp that includes both 2008 and 2009 simultaneously.

this was a welcome sign in deed.


you may already know that Minnesota is home to a very large fiberglass Paul Bunyan (or two). also that it is home to a very large fiberglass walleye. But Paul doesn't always like to fish alone and thankfully he doesn't have to since he's got his jolly pal the Green Giant. Somehow it's both creepy and reassuring to know they're out there.
