Late on Sunday I found a very friendly group of local Minnesota climbers that were up on the north shore for the weekend. I camped with them and then got to climb with them at Palisade head... in this picture
that's the big cliff along lake superior with the radio tower on top.

The most convenient way to do these routes is to rappel in from the top of the cliff (where the parking lot is) and then climb back out. Here's someone on Superior Crack.

This is
Tennen (
sp?) climbing on Phantom Crack.

It wasn't a huge day of climbing, since most everyone else had been climbing all weekend and still needed to drive back home to the twin cities, but it was great to get out and stretch the muscles on a few climbs.
I also needed to stop and stretch once on the drive back home, so I picked up a special treat.

Sweet sticky yummerific goodness.
